Commissions

  • London Ablaze – I was commissioned by the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers of London to run a session in a London Secondary School to design a piece to commemorate the anniversary of The Great Fire of London; I then created the piece.
  • Large ‘Glacier’ commission (50cmx25cmx10cm) for ‘The Wilderness Centre’, Iceland.
  • Assorted bespoke sand-cast scenes for individual clients (2013-2017)
  • Designed and made trophies for the Association of Colleges Gold Awards, presented in the House of Commons. (2012)
  • ‘Bathi’ trophy for the Royal Naval School of Oceanography, Plymouth, Devon. (2011)
  • Single commission to make 20 cast-glass ‘washing-line scenes’ (2010)

Experience of teaching/running courses

  • 2016 & 2017 – I have run some 2.5hr long glass etching short-courses. Adult participants.
  • October 2016 – I ran 4 sessions with year 11 students at Hele’s School,  Plympton. I introduced a range of techniques including alternative drawing techniques, glass etching and engraving.
  • February 2016 – I ran a full-day session with year 8 & 9 students from the Holy Family Catholic School, Walthamstow. I introduced a range of techniques including alternative drawing techniques, glass etching and engraving.
  • 2011 & 2012 – I assisted tutors running Saturday Arts Club sessions at Plymouth College of Art. The majority of these were in the glass studios. Students aged 9-18.

  • Plymouth College of Art (2008 – 2012) – Foundation Degree in Applied Arts (Distinction) – Level 4 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Distinction) – NCFE Level 1 Certificate In Creative Craft: Metalwork.

  • Runners-up prize – London Ablaze. Awarded by the Lord Mayor of London on behalf of The Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers of London, 2016.
